Square One
Despite the strides I made earlier this season, I've let my routine lapse for a few weeks and now I feel like I'm back at the beginning of my training. This seems like an appropriate time to begin documenting my progress, so here it goes; from this day onward I will faithfully post all my cardiovascular and strength training including (but not limited to) running , spinning , elliptical, free weights , rowing , yoga , and all the other gym machines the names of which I do not know . My goal is to eventually run a marathon but for now, my short term sights are set on running 10 miles at a 10 minute mile pace. Moreover, I'd like to increase my arm and back strength to a point where push-ups don't make my biceps quiver in fear and failure. Can I do it? Most definitely. The question is only how long will it take. For today, I ran a measly four miles in which I actually slowed my pace to brisk walking halfway through, making my total completion time to be 46 minutes. Yikes.
